ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A drought monitor update from Jan. 8 shows severe drought now affects parts of the Charlotte metro, including counties such as Mecklenburg, Iredell, and Cabarrus. Weather experts warn that although low water use now keeps conditions stable, continued dryness + minimal winter rainfall could lead to major issues when spring arrives.  WCNC
