➤ Cookie, a 10-year-old dog who gets along well with others and is house trained, is up for adoption with her fee waived at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control, where residents are urged to help by adopting, fostering & volunteering. ➤ Julie Kay of Live Impact News reported that a new rail expansion plan will connect Uptown and Lake Norman by extending the Red Line service. More details on the project are expected as planning continues. WCNC
