  • On March 12, Hinds Feet Farm celebrated its 25th anniversary by hosting Roberta Crisler — who recovered from a traumatic brain injury — as she shared her journey in a special event in Huntersville.   • High school seniors at Community School of Davidson turned over leadership of the Sweet Fun Run club to new student leaders so the charity run continues to support Speed for Need. The run held on March 15 at Spartan Park on Beatties Ford Road raised a record $4,112 and rewarded participants with a sweet treat after each lap.  Lake Norman Publications
  • The Joshua Murray Boating, Safety, Education and Awareness Center in Blythe Landing is hosting a boat safety fundraiser on April 6 from 2 PM to 6 PM at Boatyard—featuring live music by The Stormin Normin Experience. Funds raised will support free boating safety classes and the purchase of essential safety equipment—helping to expand the center’s programs for Lake Norman boaters.  Cornelius Today
  • Healed and Restored will hold its annual golf tournament on Monday, April 7 at Mooresville Golf Club for $150 per player—proceeds will support a Huntersville house that offers free counseling and workshops for women.  Cornelius Today

  • On March 27, 2025, more than 100 people met in Mecklenburg County to hear how $73 million from an opioid settlement will fight the opioid crisis — county leaders said the funds will help distribute naloxone kits, offer treatment referrals, and provide support services.  Mecklenburg County News
