ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Hattori, the 61-year-old owner of Hattori Racing Enterprises, died when his 2025 Toyota Crown crossed the centerline and struck a 2024 Lexus GX550 around 9:15 a.m. on Sunday in Huntersville— the Lexus driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and investigators ruled out speed and impairment as factors. - ➤ A Virginia man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the 2019 killing of Mint Hill man Joshua David Griffin Jr.—he was sentenced to up to 37 years in prison and given credit for 2,107 days served. Queen City News

- ➤ The NC forest service said this morning that crews responded to nearly 1700 wildfires statewide in March (from official reports) and that count includes incidents from across the state (covering the entire month). WCNC

- ➤ Wayne Newell put up a billboard off I-77 last October to find a living kidney donor and Beth Perryman from Mooresville answered his call after she quickly underwent tests to donate her kidney.
