ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Early Wednesday morning, emergency crews responded at 7:16 a.m. near Lake Norman Campground after two boats collided, injuring one person who was taken to a hospital — the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is investigating the incident amid increased boat traffic from an ongoing tournament.  Queen City News

  • The Town of Huntersville renamed parts of Main Street to reduce confusion—N. Main Street is now Thread Lane and S. Main Street is now Combs Lane—and the new names will go into effect May 1.  City of Huntersville
  • Before today, the Town of Huntersville won first place in the website category at the NC3C 2025 Excellence in Communications Awards announced on April 10—one of 27 jurisdictions recognized for its redesigned website launched in January 2024.
