- ➤ Torrence and Knox, a new restaurant replacing the former CookHouse Restaurant, will hold a preview on Saturday April 26 at 2 p.m. at Shops on the Green—owner Andrew Sheridan said the venue will open seven days a week with a bar menu now and a dinner menu featuring steaks and Italian specials coming soon. - ➤ A person is fighting for life after an early morning shooting off Braveheart Lane near Brookshire Boulevard and police are investigating the incident. WCNC

- ➤ On April 24, comedian Jon Reep performed at Comedy Zone, and today downtown Davidson and Huntersville host art and live music events. On April 26 and 27, local organizers will run a farmers market, an Earth Day Festival, a community cleanup, and concerts in Davidson and Cornelius — all part of a weekender of arts and family events. - ➤ Mecklenburg County will host the BABN Transatlantic Conference starting April 30, inviting leaders from the US, UK & Canada to discuss trade and investment.
