- ➤ The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce recognized NuBlue Electric, Plumbing and Air from Cornelius with the Inspire our Future award for its continuous support of education and workforce development. The chamber also honored educators Nestor Rivera, Demi Ckezepis and Audrey Belvin at the 2025 Education PowerLuncheon—acknowledging their leadership at Hopewell High School, Lake Norman Charter Elementary and SouthLake Christian Academy. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Police Chief Barry Graham will retire on Sept. 1 and hand over command to Assistant Chief Brian Vaughan, who is set to take on the chief role. Graham spent nearly 30 years serving Huntersville from 1997 and is looking forward to spending more time with his family + a smooth leadership transition in the department. Lake Norman Publications
