On May 9, the Peninsula Community Foundation hosted a volunteer fair at the Bethel Presbyterian Church Family Life Center where dozens of volunteers and local non-profits gathered to expand their work.

The foundation has served the North Meck area for over 20 years.

On Thursday, Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte honored seven local businesses with the 2025 Crowns of Enterprise Awards—recognizing firms for strong business practices and leadership in economic growth, including Velez Strategies, Lane Architecture, Carolina Transportation Engineers & Associates, Genesis Construction, The Charlotte Ledger, Prospera North Carolina, and Savvi Consulting.
