- ➤ Memorial Day will mark the unofficial start of summer and as more Huntersville residents head to Lake Norman in the coming days, local boaters are advised to review key safety questions—critical for planning safe trips on the water. WCNC
- ➤ The Town of Huntersville and American Legion Post 321 will host the 24th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Veterans Park (201 Huntersville-Concord Rd.) on Monday, May 26 at 11 a.m., while in Cornelius, American Legion Post 86 and the town invite residents to honor local servicemen and women at Cain Center for the Arts (21348 Catawba Ave.) from 10 a.m. to noon; note that garbage and recycling pick-ups will be delayed on Monday.
