- ➤ Mecklenburg County is partnering with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools to upgrade the football field at EE Waddell High School—both sides are splitting the cost to install an irrigation system. The school is allowing the county to use the field for two years while athletic events have moved from Southside Park as it undergoes lead testing. WSOCTV.com
