Good morning, Huntersville.

Today, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra performs at Bailey Road Park in Cornelius from 6 to 10 p.m. Later, members-only firework shows at clubs in Cornelius and Mooresville can be enjoyed from public areas — and Huntersville residents will celebrate July 4 at Birkdale Village from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with bike decorating, a parade and a wet down by the fire department.
🎓 Education
Earthsong Explorers forest school is accepting students for summer camp and fall sessions at Hart Square Village — a program started by Sarah Todd and Jamie Forbes to offer hands-on, nature-based learning in small, mixed-age groups.
The school honors Dr. Hart's legacy and builds on Hart Square Village's tradition of community education.
🌲 Environment
NCDEQ’s Division of Water Resources advised the public on June 20 to avoid contact with green or blue water in Lake Norman coves where algal blooms have appeared since June 16—ongoing tests have not yet detected toxins though conditions may change quickly.
