🏛️ Government
House Bill 948, which would allow a one-cent countywide tax to fund transit, sidewalks, roads, and bike lanes, passed both chambers on June 27 and now will be sent to the governor for his signature.
If approved by voters, the tax will support several transportation improvements in our community.
The North Carolina DMV will serve walk-in customers all day this summer, which offers extra access for people who need services.
Local offices in Huntersville are expected to follow this change + making it easier for drivers without an appointment.
