- ➤ On Tuesday morning, about 4,000 ElectriCities customers in Huntersville experienced power outages after a Duke Energy transmission line sustained an outage—repair crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible. WCNC
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Commissioner Vilma D. Leake will host two meetings at Steele Creek AME Zion Church + West Charlotte Recreation Center on July 22 and July 31 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to explain a county vote on a 1-cent sales tax that may fund road, rail and bus work. A board meeting on July 30 will review the referendum before a public hearing on Aug 6 gives residents a chance to speak. Mecklenburg County News
