➤ Jessika Tucker, executive director of Angels & Sparrows, will retire on July 31 after seven years of service and community leadership — the nonprofit has appointed Brandi Jones as interim executive director effective July 1. ➤ Visit Lake Norman announced the 11th annual Capture Lake Norman photo contest that will run from August 1 through 31 and invite locals and visitors to submit high-resolution photos of Lake Norman. ➤ Registration is now open for fall sports offered by Cornelius Parks and Recreation and its partners, including youth flag football for ages 5 to 12, youth lacrosse for pre-K to age 13 or kindergarten to 12th grade, Little League baseball and softball for ages 4 to 16, and Charlotte Independence Soccer for kids and adults.
