- ➤ A suspect is facing multiple charges including death by motor vehicle after a crash claimed the life of a 74-year-old pedestrian in Huntersville—authorities are investigating the incident. WCNC
- ➤ Huntersville police are searching for a suspect (wanted for larceny, arson) after equipment was stolen and a building was set on fire at a local charter school (Monday morning). WCNC
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Mecklenburg County Public Health is urging parents to have their children receive required vaccines before school starts Aug. 25 to help prevent diseases such as measles and whooping cough; students without current vaccines by Sept. 24 risk exclusion. The department will offer additional clinic hours on select Saturdays and evenings in September at local health centers—providing free or low-cost immunizations. Mecklenburg County News
