- ➤ The Mecklenburg County Clerk’s Office is asking residents to apply for two vacancies on the Lake Norman Marine Commission that will oversee lake recreation, water quality and safety. Representatives from Catawba, Iredell, Lincoln and Mecklenburg counties will each choose two members—one with a four-year term and one with a five-year term—and the commission will meet monthly at 7 p.m. on the second Monday at the Charles Mack Center in Mooresville.
