- ➤ A local nonprofit is hosting a fashion show where art meets fashion — 15 local designers are turning 15 billboards into clothing. The event will take place on September 6th at Blume studios in Charlotte from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Queen City News

- ➤ Mayor Vi Lyles has called a special meeting for the Metropolitan Transit Commission that will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (room 267) and is open to the public; the meeting follows more than a week after Iryna Zarutska was fatally stabbed on the Blue Line in South End, with Decarlos Brown charged with first-degree murder. - ➤ Mecklenburg County Public Health has partnered with BOPlex to introduce a Mamava Lactation Pod that offers a private space for breastfeeding and pumping at local events.
