  • CATS released surveillance video of the fatal Blue Line stabbing that killed 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska when Decarlos Brown stabbed her three times on August 22 near Camden Road station—Brown now faces first-degree murder charges and transit officials have increased security measures.  WCNC

  • The North Meck Vikings lost 11—7 to the Huss Huskies on September 5 in a tough game that gave the team its first loss after a 2—0 start.  Lake Norman Publications
  • Panthers quarterback Bryce Young said he is excited for the 2025 season after proving his role as the franchise leader last season—he plans to lead the team with strong performance this season.  Queen City News
