West Virginia unveiled a cryptid license plate this week featuring nine folklore monsters, and North Carolina has no plan to create one now.
If residents want a specialty plate (for cryptids or anything else), they must file an application with the General Assembly.

SLR Food Distribution recalled Wise Wife cinnamon after tests found elevated lead; 110 gram jars sold in stores here between Sept.
8, 2025 and June 28, 2026 should not be eaten and retailers were told to stop sales and hold inventory for return or refund.

Lake Norman beat Mooresville 56-17 on Friday to finish the regular season 10-0 and secure the NPC conference championship and FeedNC Cup; the Wildcats will prepare for the 7A state playoffs with the bracket released Saturday, Oct.
