- ➤ The Hough High School Marching Band wrapped up its fall competition season on November 10 by earning 18 trophies, including seven awards at its final performance in East Burke. The band performed Legends of the North—featuring music by Christopher Tin and John Powell with standout soloists Erik Middelthon and Senior DeAndra Molina at their last home football game. - ➤ The House speaker recalled representatives to Washington today for a vote that may end the shutdown, fund the government until January and restore backpay for furloughed workers — while local food pantries face high demand and are running out of supplies. WSOCTV.com
