- ➤ Aiden Braswell, a 16-year-old junior at Cox Mill High School and member of Troop 19, earned the Eagle Scout rank on May 22 after leading a service project that built a native pollinator garden at W.R. - ➤ New ownership at Lake Norman Golf Club is already making steady improvements on its 174-acre property with completed upgrades to the parking lot and clubhouse porch — the facility formerly known as Mallard Head Country Club is set for a full transformation that includes a new irrigation system, driving range, and additional amenities. Owner Kyle Cerminara and GM Gavin Arsenault plan a putting contest on Nov 28 to introduce changes that will boost membership and deliver a family-friendly, affordable experience.
