  • Huntersville’s Birkdale Village shows that smart, mixed-use planning can bring homes, shops, and parks together for a true town center. Developers plan the new BridgeWater project—proposed for nearly two decades near Highway 150 and the Highway 16 Bypass—which will add walkable commercial space and support balanced growth in the area.  Lake Norman Publications
  • On November 20, local groups compiled a list of organizations accepting donations and volunteers to help those in need during the Thanksgiving weekend. The list features the McIntosh Law Firm Community Food Drive + Lake Norman Food Mission + FeedNC + Angels and Sparrows + Bags of Hope + Lake Norman Kiwanis Club, with some drives accepting contributions through today.  Cornelius Today

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Ronnie Robinson signed a contract to pay 63,000 dollars for a solar system in Huntersville that promised a veteran discount, a water heater, and extra panels but did not deliver these extras even though his power bills dropped. The installer offered to lower his cost if he paid cash after the financing company went bankrupt—Robinson lost trust and now faces paying the full amount.  WSOCTV.com
