BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ JGA Space and Defense, formerly Joe Gibbs Manufacturing Solutions, will expand operations in Huntersville beginning in 2026 by investing over $25 million in a new 60,000—square-foot facility, creating about 40 new jobs. Local officials from Mecklenburg County, the Town of Huntersville and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina said the expansion will support roles such as machinist, quality control and engineering — with an average salary of $55,000. - ➤ Hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians saw higher ACA Marketplace premiums and many now turn to NC MedAssist (the only statewide nonprofit free pharmacy) for essential prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
