Four pianos, one tradition

December 4th & 5th

Join us for one of the most joyous holiday traditions in the Queen City, JAZZ ROOM Holiday Edition, Piano Night! Celebrate the season with four extraordinary renowned jazz pianists, each putting their own swing on beloved holiday classics.

Our featured pianists for the evening include:

Sean Mason

A Charlotte native, JazzArts Academy alumnus, and GRAMMY-nominated pianist, Sean has performed with jazz greats including Wynton and Branford Marsalis. We’re thrilled to welcome one of our own back to the JAZZ ROOM stage!

Iliana Rose

An internationally acclaimed Cuban jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader, Iliana brings a vibrant blend of Latin rhythms and jazz traditions to the piano. She’s also the director of our JazzArts Nuestro Tiempo Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble!

Kevin Bales

An award-winning jazz pianist and winner of the 1994 American Pianists Association Jazz Piano Competition, Kevin has performed alongside legends including Wynton Marsalis, James Moody, and René Marie.

Joe Davidian

An accomplished New York jazz pianist, composer, and educator, Joe is a winner of the 2019 Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition. Known for his swinging style and expressive playing, he’s performed at renowned jazz clubs around the world.

The celebration also features special performances by JazzArts Academy Students, plus a pre-show reception and silent auction benefiting JazzArts’ education programs. This will be an unforgettable weekend of community and holiday cheer for the whole family to enjoy—all supporting the future of jazz in Charlotte.

The JAZZ ROOM provides a casual and intimate setting with tables and a full bar, reminiscent of the classic jazz rooms of yesteryear.
